Presence at the Dementia lab (workshop and exhibition)
In March 2025, the seventh edition of the Dementia Lab conference will take place in Aveiro, Portugal. The Autonomous consortium has submitted two contributions for this conference: a workshop and an exhibition.
Interactive Workshop: Inclusive Design in Practice
The workshop is designed to provide participants with hands-on inclusive design methods. Led by three facilitators from the Autonomous team (Joana, Ana, and Filippo), a maximum of twelve participants will gain practical insights into, among other things, ethical considerations and communication strategies in participatory design with people with dementia. Through group tasks, such as developing personas and using the co-creation manual toolkit, participants will learn how to apply inclusive principles in their own projects. This toolkit was developed based on the findings of the Autonomous project.
Exhibition: Sensor Casing Prototype Demonstration
In addition to the workshop, the consortium will present an exhibition featuring a poster and a prototype of the sensor casing. This exhibition will give participants the opportunity to view the first prototypes from the Autonomous project.
