Autonomous team meeting in Belgium
In February 2024, the second in-person consortium meeting of the Autonomous project took place in Genk, Belgium. The team gathered for an intensive two-day event to discuss the first findings and developments.
Day 1: Analysing Findings and Defining Requirements
The first day was dedicated to parallel working sessions for each work package. The initial results from the user research sessions in Portugal, Italy, and Belgium were presented and compared. The data was analysed, and design requirements were defined.
In the afternoon, colleagues from Carnegie Mellon University joined the meeting online. They presented updates on the HAR algorithm and discussed the results of sensor tests, including a discussion on the optimal sensor combination. The day ended with a joint dinner in Hasselt.
Day 2: Advancing the Project Vision
The second day featured a full program of working sessions on user interfaces, value propositions, and service models. Additionally, an overview of the planning for usability tests and field trials was presented.
The meeting in Genk was a successful opportunity for the consortium to make significant progress in the advancement of the Autonomous project.
